REVIEW USMeet Rose Valcin, APRN-C
Rose Valcin Cordia, a proud native of Cap-Haitien, Haiti, is a shining example of dedication, compassion, and service. Her journey in healthcare began after immigrating to the United States, where she pursued her calling in the medical field and earned her nursing degree in 1996. With a deep commitment to patient care and leadership, she went on to serve as the Clinical Manager for the Cardiac Suite at Memorial West Hospital, guiding teams and elevating standards of care.
Driven by her passion for advancing her clinical expertise, Rose continued her education and became an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in 2017, earning her graduate degree from Nova Southeastern University. She currently serves as a Nurse Practitioner at Comprehensive Health Center, where she provides high-quality, patient-centered care to the community she loves.
Rose is a woman of remarkable versatility, balancing her roles as a devoted wife, mother of three, accomplished nurse practitioner, professional pianist, entrepreneur, and steadfast community servant. Her commitment to service extends far beyond the clinical setting. Since 2013, she has been an active and dedicated member of the Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida (HANA). Her leadership within the organization includes serving as 2nd Vice President from 2019 to 2021 and as President from 2021 to 2023, where she championed initiatives that uplifted both the Haitian and broader South Florida communities.
Her excellence has been recognized widely. In October 2021, Rose was honored by Legacy Magazine as one of the Top Black Healthcare Professionals of 2021. That same year, she received the Health Advocate Award from the Community Health & Empowerment Network. In April 2022, she was named one of the Annual Inspiring Women of Health, and in April 2023, Emmanuel Baptist Church recognized her for her unwavering dedication to community health initiatives. She also received the Outstanding Ambassador Award from L’Association des Anciens du Collège Notre Dame du Perpétuel Secours in March 2023.
During the COVID‑19 pandemic, Rose recognized the emotional toll the crisis placed on individuals and families. Using her musical gift, she began offering live piano performances on Facebook, providing comfort and calm to listeners around the world. Her ongoing “Music Therapy” sessions touched countless lives, offering peace during a time of uncertainty and fear.
In January 2023, Rose expanded her commitment to the arts and education by founding La Belle Rose Music Center, where she now serves as CEO. The school is dedicated to teaching students of all ages the gift of music through instruments such as piano, violin, guitar, and drums. Her belief in the power of small acts of service continues to guide her work: “Service doesn’t have to be huge and grandiose to be meaningful, but every small action can make a difference.”
Rose Valcin Cordia stands as a testament to resilience, leadership, and the transformative power of service, uplifting her community through healthcare, music, education, and unwavering compassion.
